The silence is so soothing All you hear is wind in the leaves The sun has never been warmer You close your eyes - and feel the summer breeze You can brush away your autumn thoughts They opened their arms and said, “You’re home” And when your stomach gets tied in knots They’ll bring you close and say you’re not alone You wanted lasting freedom To live eternal spring But the seasons always change It doesn’t mean a thing You can daydream away the summer The sun is bright and your shadow is still long But when the cold wind starts creeping in Don’t it all feel wrong? I come alive in the evening Still nothing is as it seams When it’s dark I go night swimming So every day I stay in bed and dream And in the blaze of summer heat I didn’t hear the sparrows flying by And when the red leaves fell to my feet I didn’t even stop to wonder why I wanted lasting freedom To live eternal spring But the seasons always change It doesn’t mean a thing You can daydream away the summer The sun is bright and your shadow is still long But when the cold wind starts creeping in Don’t it all feel wrong?

Blue Skies 03:25
Does it matter if I pull the curtains? It’s so dark outside – I can’t even see Outside this heavy burden And cloudy haze that rests inside of me Somehow my feet keep working Step-by-step, hands push invisibly Even though my head’s swirling And I have tears enough to fill the sea It gets this way sometimes I’ll rise but I won’t shine But you’re the blue skies in my mind You’re the sun that makes me blind On a cold and cloudy day I close my eyes you take me away When I lay still my pulse thunders The wind laughs each time I breathe I look up and wonder Why these sorrow clouds hang over me? But this night won’t pull me under I still have my memories You’re right around the corner This will pass and soon I’ll be set free It gets this way sometimes But I’ll leave it all behind
